Just a quick delve into the much un-loved realm of radio advertising.
In the space of - about a minute - I was asked to come up with two radio spots for Diet Pepsi. No strategy. Just a vague target audience of women, 40+. Nothing much else to say about the assignment except that we were briefed at the end of day and I was scheduled to record two business days later.
Knowing that all women are ferociously lovely with a depth of wisdom that is generally misunderstood, I thought I’d help out the ladies by celebrating and explaining why we’re so damn wonderful. Consider this my PSA to womenhood. And more importantly, it gave me the opportunity to work with Janeane Garafolo and Jane Lynch. Two of the top ladies on my Girl Crush List.
(The goal is to turn this two spot assignment into a larger platform and produce a series of radio spots that feature a slew of amazing comedic women - Wanda Sykes, Sarah Silverman, Amy Peohler, etc.)
